Steal from the Mattel Corporation, and you will get a SMACK-DOWN!
http://www.cnbc.com/id/28045578

An employee of the Mattel Co., Bryant had made drawings while employed at Mattel which were copyrighted as a cast of cartoon and doll characters (i.e. Bratz). However, Bryant the took the drawings to a rival company, MGA, which subsequently made millions selling Bratz dolls and TV shows.

Only problem was when the judge ruled that the original copyright for those first four charters is owned by Mattel (read your employment contract Mr Bryant), and ALL of the subsequent characters developed by MGA on those dolls were infringing.

Result: Total smack down on MGA, Stop selling the infringing toys, and destroy the molds.

Moral: If you are working on something really really cool at work, save the hassle and work on it in your garage and OWN IT.
